Katokur
A representative of the herbivorous, peace-loving fauna. Due to its large size and excellent defense, it has practically no natural enemies on the territory of Mrodar.
These individuals grow up to 7 meters in height and 10 in length. Their jaw is not just a beak, but a real grater, inside which is hidden a double row of teeth designed for good grinding of foliage and branches.
Lead a lonely, wandering lifestyle. The two katokura can only be seen in the summer during the mating season, which occurs in these creatures every five years. The female bears and lays one single egg, which she hides in the tree trunk and protects it until the baby is free. The cub is more like a larva, since it has no legs, and they grow within a year - and for a whole year, the baby lives in a hollow, where the mother brings him food in the form of fruits and chewed foliage. When the baby's legs grow, the mother knocks down a tree and frees the baby from his temporary nursery. After that, the mother travels for a couple of years with her child, and then he goes on his way.
The skaters have a strong shell, and an excellent memory that helps them return to rich pastures and watering holes. These hulks move slowly, carefully rearranging their legs with wide feet.
These creatures may seem clumsy, but don't underestimate them. If desired, the katokur can sharply wave its massive tail, or put its front paws into battle.
At sunset, katokurs love to howl beautiful tunes. It looks like a kind of howl, mixed with clicks, gurgles and whistles.
