Hasdur.
Peaceful, omnivorous. Distributed throughout Kendaris, but very rare. Adults grow to about 8.5 meters in height and 9 in length.
Hasdur, the giant who boasts that he has no enemies. Few people dare to attack this armored bulk, except that the pretty enraged Tritrinus wants to translate this into reality. But even so, the option to hurt or at least somehow hurt this giant is extremely small. In his defensive stance, the Hasdur cannot be penetrated. He sucks in his neck, not allowing predators to get even the slightest opportunity to search, and attack the weak zone. And getting close to the Hasdur is dangerous. He can easily trample you, have a snack, or even raise you on the horns. Therefore, it is better not to frighten or anger them.
Slow, but with a good view, sight, hearing and smell, the beast is rarely caught unawares. He behaves calmly if he sees some kind of creature next to him, because he knows that he is protected and he does not care for everything.
Hasdur is notable for being a hermaphrodite. But despite this, in order to give offspring, he needs an exchange of genetic material with an individual of his species. And a similar "exchange" (which looks like a long kiss from the outside) occurs at the age of 10, after which the most hardy Hasdur becomes the one who bears the future child.
The fruit ripens for a long time, about 2 years. And when the time comes, the parent literally regurgitates his child into the world, because all this time, the baby grew up in a special department, or rather an organ, similar in principle to an incubator.
The cub is 3.5 meters in height and 3 in dyne, has a rather dense shell and scales, but not yet as strong as that of the parent, and this puts the baby in the crosshairs of some predators, such as Hackmars and Dhaatminos.
For five months, the Hasdur will protect his baby and show him the world, but then, the baby will be expelled and sent to an independent life.
Hasdurs live long, up to 100 years. And the cause of death for this giant can be several things: old age, illness or injury. Some peoples use the Hasdur's shell to build houses, while some zealously guard their remains, not allowing them to be touched, while others try to hunt them.
