Mguh
Representative of the omnivorous fauna. They grow 50 cm long, 6 cm in diameter. Males differ from females in bright color and cocky disposition. Females are smaller than males and grow to a length of 40 cm.
They live mainly on sandy coasts in high tide zones. At night they sleep buried in the sand. And in order not to suffocate, they are buried in such a way that their special nose looks a little on the surface, which looks like a pipe.
During the day, they lead an active lifestyle. Crawling along the beach, lazia in the thickets, swimming in the sea. They swim in water rather quickly, due to their tail and erect body. On land, they crawl a little slower, but if they sense danger, they curl up with their bodies in the manner of a spring, and focusing on the ground with their tail, they sharply push off with them, literally shooting themselves. From the outside it all looks like a spectacular jump, almost 2m in length. But often these animals cannot jump like that, since such a maneuver requires a lot of strength. But if the jump did not save the fly, then he has a special weapon against those who still dare to get to him. Namely, a special liquid secretion that is produced inside the mucus. He will definitely splash it in the face of the offender, shooting muck from his nose. And this liquid has the most unpleasant and pungent smell, from which your eyes will instantly water up, and your nose will begin to fill up with snot.
Flies and hunters and gatherers, eat everything. Therefore, their beak is very sharp and dangerous. The force of the bite is great, and so much so that a person can bite off a finger.
During the mating season, males are actively looking for females. And if there is one, then the male for three days stays close to her, arranging fierce battles with other males, who suddenly coveted his female. And if the male managed to survive for three days next to the chosen one, then the way is open for him to acquire offspring.
Oviparous flies. Eggs are laid on the roots of trees in the tide zone, "gluing" them from below. There are usually from 3 to 6 eggs.
And they called the mugha so because they emit a characteristic sound, which is just heard as “mgukh”.
