Dorum is a segmental, chitinous worm that, depending on its species, lives in one environment or another. They have a strong shell that protects against small and even some medium-sized predators. They do not have any other defense mechanisms, only armor and sharp movements of folding into a donut or ball. Dorums are blind, although they have some kind of eyes, which in fact are a large sensitive olfactory receptor that helps to search for food. In length, these worms can grow up to 2 - 3 - 4 m and in diameter be about 15 - 20 - 40 cm. These worms are called orderlies and cleaners, because they loosen the soil, eat rotting vegetation and trees.
