Cariptorix
A representative of the freshwater fauna, the musculartail family. It is not a predator, since it feeds on bark and nuts that have fallen into the water. They live in large ponds, rivers and lakes that are found in the tidal zone. The respiratory system of the Cariptorrix allows them to carry sea water, but not constantly, for about 6 or 8 hours.
They grow up to 1.5 meters in length, weighing up to 150 kg.
By nature, the fish is not aggressive, but very cautious. Well protected by its bone carapace. On occasion, Cariptorix can be very painful and traumatic to bite - your finger can be chopped off with ease.
Eyesight is good, they swim quickly, they can even jump out of the water to overcome any obstacles in their path.
