Kushid
A representative of the freshwater fauna, the musculartail family. They grow up to 3 meters in length and weigh up to 800 kg. A predatory fish that ambushes its prey. Thanks to its wide-opening mouth, the kusid can easily catch large fish or any other prey that is slightly smaller than the kusida itself. Sharply opening its mouth, it creates the effect of a funnel, sucking the prey straight into the kushid's throat, where the internal teeth await the victim, which, like a grater, instantly grind the prey.
While hunting, Kushid either buries himself in sand or pebbles, or even completely hides in the thickets and waits for someone to swim over him. Their eyesight is very weak, so especially sensitive whiskers help this fish to feel approaching objects or living creatures.
In case of danger, kusid always tries to swim away and bury himself as deep as possible.
Kushida meat is delicious, very healthy and nutritious. Therefore, this fish is a favorite delicacy of many Kendarii. And in order not to spend a lot of time catching these barbel, in Mrodar there are whole farms for breeding kusids.
